[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 울산지역의 청년들이 대왕암공원 출렁다리를 배경으로 하는 안전 교육 동화책을 제작해 눈길을 끌고 있다.
올해 초 울산과학대학교 디지털콘텐츠디자인학과를 졸업한 김은총, 이찬영씨는 문화체육관광부, 한국콘텐츠진흥원, 울산광역시, 울산정보산업진흥원이 실시하는 '2022년 울산콘텐츠코리아랩 콘텐츠기획단'의 지원을 받아 '대왕암 안전하게 대작전'이라는 제목의 책자 총 100부를 제작했다.
대왕암공원에 서식중인 고양이를 '냥냥파이브'로 캐릭터화 했다. '냥냥파이브'는 대왕암공원을 방문하는 사람들이 위험한 행동을 할 때마다 등장해 구출하는 '히어로'로 활약하고 있다.
또, 책장을 펼쳤을 때 그림이 입체적으로 튀어나오는 '팝업 북'으로 만들어 대왕암둘레길, 출렁다리, 대왕암에서 각각 주의해야 할 사항을 어린이들이 쉽고 재미있게 익힐 수 있도록 구성했다.
책자를 제작한 김은총, 이찬영씨는 "대왕암공원에 출렁다리가 생기면서 더 많은 사람들이 찾아오고 있는데 안전하게 공원시설을 즐기면 좋겠다는 생각으로 '안전'에 컨셉을 두고 팝업 동화책을 제작했다"며 "대왕암, 대왕암의 고양이(냥냥파이브) 등 지역적 소재를 동화속 주인공으로 캐릭터화 했는데, 사람들에게 대왕암공원을 더욱 잘 알리게 되는 계기가 되었으면 좋겠다"고 말했다.
Young people in Ulsan are drawing attention by producing a safety education fairy tale book set on the suspension bridge of Daewangam Park.
Kim Eun-chong and Lee Chan-young, who graduated from Ulsan Science University's Department of Digital Content Design earlier this year, produced a total of 100 books titled "Daewangam Safe Operation" with the support of the "2022 Ulsan Content Korea Lab Content Planning Team" conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Content Agency, Ulsan Metropolitan City, and Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency.
The cat living in Daewangam Park has been characterized as "Meow Meow Five." "Meow Meow Five" is active as a "hero" who appears and rescues people who visit Daewangam Park whenever they do dangerous things.
In addition, it is made into a "pop-up book" where pictures protrude three-dimensionally when the bookcase is opened so that children can easily and funly learn the things to be careful about on Daewangam Dulle-gil, Suspension Bridge, and Daewangam.
Kim Eun-chong and Lee Chan-young, who produced the booklet, said, "More people are coming to Daewangam Park, and I produced a pop-up fairy tale book with the concept of 'safety' to enjoy the park facilities safely."
