[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 울산광역시지적발달장애인복지협회 울주군지부(지부장 유안순)가 15일 언양읍 울주군민체육관에서 ‘제7회 어울림한마당’ 행사를 개최했다.
고려아연 지정기탁사업으로 추진된 이번 행사는 체육대회를 통해 지적 발달장애인의 소속감과 공동체 의식을 증진하고, 건전한 경쟁의식과 성취감을 제공해 장애인의 삶의 질 향상과 사회 통합에 기여하고자 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 울주군 지적 발달장애인 300여명이 참석한 가운데 레크레이션과 기념식 등 행사를 실시하며 친목과 화합을 도모했다.
울주군 관계자는 “지역 내 장애인들에게 체육대회 활동을 지원해 건강 증진과 성취감 향상을 도모하고, 장애인이 자주적인 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
Ulsan Metropolitan City Ulju-gun Branch (Director Yoo An-soon) of the Welfare Association for the Intellectual Development Disabled held the "7th Eoulim Hanmadang" event at Ulju-gun Community Gymnasium in Eonyang-eup on the 15th.
The event, which was promoted as a designated donation project for Korea Zinc, is designed to contribute to improving the quality of life and social integration of the disabled by enhancing the sense of belonging and community of people with intellectual developmental disabilities through sports competitions.
About 300 people with intellectual developmental disabilities in Ulju-gun attended the event, and events such as recreation and ceremonies were held to promote friendship and harmony.
An official from Ulju-gun said, "We will try to improve health and achievement by supporting sports competition activities for the disabled in the region, and to help the disabled lead an independent life."
