[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 울산시는 11월 28일 오후 3시 중구 성안동 393-2번지에서 ‘희망상가를 품은 청년희망주택’ 기공식을 진행한다.
이날 행사에는 김두겸 울산시장을 비롯해 이성룡 시의회 부의장, 김영길 중구청장, 울산시 청년정책조정위원, 중구 청년정책 협의체 위원 등 150여 명이 참석한다.
‘희망상가를 품은 청년희망주택’은 민선 8기 공약사항인 ‘상상이 현실이 되고 청년이 머물고 싶은 도시 건설을 위한 청년희망주택 건립사업’의 첫걸음이다.
이번 청년희망주택은 지하 1층, 지상 4층, 연면적 1,800㎡ 규모에 창업지원상가 2호와 희망주택 36호로 구성되어 있으며 청년들이 자유롭게 소통하면서 정보를 공유할 수 있는 공유거실 등이 설치된다.
김두겸 시장은 “청년세대의 가장 큰 고민거리인 주거부담을 줄이는 것이 이번 사업의 목표이다.”며 “미룰 수 없는 시대적 과제인 탈 울산 청년인구 감소 문제를 해결하기 위해 주거안정, 좋은 일자리 창출 등의 맞춤형 청년정책을 전방위적으로 펼쳐 나가겠다.”라고 강조했다.
한편 울산시는 경제적으로 취약한 청년층의 주거안정과 주거만족도 향상을 위하여 남구 신정동, 중구 태화동 등 울산시 전역에 오는 2026년까지 사업비 410여억 원을 들여서 집 걱정 없이 학업과 생업에 종사할 수 있도록 청년희망주택 200호를 건설할 계획이다.
Ulsan City will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for "Youth Hope House with Hope Shopping Center" at 393-2, Seongan-dong, Jung-gu, at 3 p.m. on November 28.
More than 150 people will attend the event, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-kyum, Vice Chairman of the City Council Lee Sung-ryong, Jung-gu District Mayor Kim Young-gil, Ulsan City Youth Policy Coordinator, and Jung-gu Youth Policy Consultative Committee.
The "Youth Hope House with Hope Shopping Center" is the first step of the "Youth Hope House Construction Project to build a city where imagination becomes a reality and young people want to stay," a pledge of the 8th popular election.
The youth hope house consists of 2 start-up support shopping malls and 36 hope houses with 1 basement floor, 4 floors above the ground, and a total floor area of 1,800 square meters, and a shared living room where young people can freely communicate and share information.
"The goal of this project is to reduce the housing burden, which is the biggest concern for the youth generation," Mayor Kim Doo-kyum said. "We will implement customized youth policies such as housing stability and good job creation to solve the problem of de-Ulsan's youth population, which cannot be delayed."
Meanwhile, Ulsan City plans to build 200 youth hope houses by 2026 so that they can work and live without worrying about their homes by spending 41 billion won on projects across Ulsan City, including Sinjeong-dong, Nam-gu, and Taehwa-dong, Jung-gu.
