[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자]  울산 북구가 정원도시 조성사업에 주민 참여율을 높이고, 전문가의 다양한 의견을 듣는 등 사업 활성화를 위해 본격 나서고 있다.

북구는 27일 구청 대회의실에서 정원도시 조성 및 정원문화 확산을 위한 주민 역량강화 특강을 마련했다. 이날 특강은 전 서울대학교 식물병원 외래임상의 이규화 박사를 초청해 '올바른 정원가꾸기 및 나무정전'를 주제로 진행됐다.

특강에는 지역에서 정원을 가꾸고 정원문화 조성에 나서고 있는 우리마을가드너, 우리동네 정원가꾸기 회원, 아파트 및 시설 수목관리인 등이 참석했다.

북구 관계자는 "이번 특강은 주민이 직접 정원을 가꾸며 정원도시 조성에 참여할 수 있도록 올바른 정원 가꾸기와 수목관리에 대한 정보를 전달하기 위해 마련했다"며 "정원 및 수목에 대한 정보 습득을 통해 주민들이 정원도시 북구 조성에도 많은 도움을 주셨으면 좋겠다"고 말했다.

북구는 또 이날 정원문화 조성 및 진흥위원회를 열어 정원도시 북구 조성을 위한 전문가 의견을 청취하는 시간도 가졌다.

북구는 정원도시 조성사업을 추진하면서 다양한 분야의 전문가 자문이 요구돼 지난 8월 북구 정원문화 조성 및 진흥위원회를 확대 구성하기로 하고 외부전문가 7명을 추가 모집했다.

이날 회의에서는 북구 정원도시 구상 및 지방정원조성 기본계획과 폐선부지 미세먼지 차단숲 조성사업 실시설계용역에 대한 자문과 토론, 추가위원 위촉장 수여 등이 진행됐다.

북구는 지난해 정원도시 구상 및 지방정원조성 기본계획 연구를 진행하고 정원도시 조성에 본격 나서고 있다. 가장 먼저 동해남부선 폐선부지 미세먼지 차단숲 조성사업이 진행된다. 현재 실시설계용역이 진행중이며, 용역 완료 후 내년부터 공사가 본격 진행될 예정이다. 동해남부선 폐선부지 내 만들어 지는 미세먼지차단숲은 6.5km, 13.4ha 규모로 조성된다.

The special lecture was attended by our village gardener, who is gardening and creating a garden culture in the region, members of our neighborhood gardening, and tree managers of apartments and facilities.

A Buk-gu official said, "This special lecture is designed to convey information on proper gardening and tree management so that residents can participate in the creation of a garden city by gardening themselves. We hope that residents will help create a garden city by acquiring information on gardens and trees.

Buk-gu also held a garden culture creation and promotion committee to listen to experts' opinions on the creation of the garden city's Buk-gu.

Buk-gu decided to expand the Buk-gu Garden Culture Creation and Promotion Committee in August and recruited seven additional external experts as it was required to consult experts in various fields while promoting the garden city development project.

At the meeting, advice and discussions on the basic plan for the creation of a garden city in Buk-gu and a local garden, and the design service for the project to create a fine dust blocking forest at the abandoned site, and a certificate of appointment for additional members were given.

Last year, Buk-gu conducted a study on the concept of a garden city and the basic plan for the creation of a local garden, and began to create a garden city in earnest. First of all, the project to create a fine dust blocking forest at the waste line of the Donghae Nambu Line will be carried out. The implementation design service is currently underway, and the construction will begin in earnest next year after the completion of the service. The fine dust-blocking forest, which is built in the abandoned site of the Donghae Nambu Line, will be 6.5km long and 13.4ha long.
