[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 울산시 동구청이 남목 도시재생 뉴딜사업의 하나로 배달형 창업플랫폼 조성사업을 추진한다.
동구청은 이를 위해 최근 동구 미포3길 7에 위치한 2층 규모의 낡은 음식점 건물을 매입했으며 올해 연말까지 건물 리모델링을 마치고 배달형 상가 3개와 배달서비스 종사자를 위한 쉼터 공간을 마련할 계획이다.
이곳에 만들어지는 배달형 상가는 창업을 희망하는 중장년층 및 주민에게 약 2년간 무상으로 제공되는데, 동구청은 향후 상가입점 대상자 선정시 남목도시재생사업의 취지와 부합하는 업종 또는 도시재생사업을 통해 만들어진 특화상품 관련 업종 등에 우선 제공하는 방안을 검토중이다.
쉼터 공간은 배달서비스 종사자들이 대기시간동안 잠시 쉬어갈 수 있는 휴게 공간으로 활용된다.
동구청 관계자는 "낙후된 도시공간에 활기를 불어넣음으로서 도시 전체가 되살아나게 하는 도시재생사업의 취지를 살려 기존의 낡은 건물을 주민들의 창업을 돕는 공간으로 새롭게 탈바꿈시키고 있다"며 "이번 사업이 지역 주민들의 창업과 도시재생 브랜드 상품개발 및 수익창출을 돕는 계기가 되기를 바란다"고 말했다.
The Dong-gu Office of Ulsan City will push for a project to create a delivery-type start-up platform as part of the Nammok Urban Renewal New Deal project.
To this end, the Dong-gu Office recently purchased a two-story old restaurant building located at 7, Mipo 3-gil, Dong-gu, and plans to complete remodeling of the building by the end of this year and set up three delivery shops and shelter spaces for delivery service workers.
The delivery-type shopping mall will be provided free of charge for about two years to middle-aged and residents who wish to start a business, and the Dong-gu Office is considering providing it first to industries that match the purpose of the Nammok Urban Regeneration Project or specialized products made through urban regeneration projects.
The shelter space is used as a rest area where delivery service workers can rest for a while during waiting time.
An official from Dong-gu Office said, "By revitalizing the outdated urban space, we are transforming the existing old building into a space that helps residents start their own businesses, developing products and generating profits."
