[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 울산 강남·강북교육지원청은 2023학년도 초등학교 통학구역을 확정했다.
내년도 통학구역 변경은 통학 거리 단축을 위해 현재 신천초 통학구역인 ‘농서2동 5통 중 일부 지역’을 동대초로, 월평초 통학구역인 ‘신정2동 19통 8반’이 개운초로, 범서초 통학구역인 ‘범서읍 18통 5반’이 천상초로 통학구역이 조정됐다.
이번에 확정된 통학구역은 2023학년도 신입생부터 적용되는데, 읍·면·동 행정복지센터가 이를 바탕으로 취학예정자(2016년 출생 아동 및 전년도 미취학 아동)가 입학할 학교를 지정하여 12월 20일까지 보호자에게 취학통지서를 배부한다. 특수학급 취학아동은 취학통지서 상의 배정학교나 특수지원센터에서 지정한 학교로 방문하면 된다.
2023학년도 초등학교 취학예정자 예비소집은 내년 1월 3~4일(추가예비소집일 1월 10일)로 학부모는 취학아동을 동반해 응소해야 한다. 단, 입학생 규모, 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 단계 등에 따라 학교별로 일정이나 방법이 상이할 수 있으니, 학부모 또는 보호자는 해당 학교에 미리 전화로 문의하거나 학교 홈페이지 안내 사항을 숙지 후 예비소집에 참여하면 된다.
그 외에 2017년 출생아동 중 조기입학을 원하거나 내년도 취학 대상자 중 입학 연기를 하고자 하는 경우에는 12월 31일까지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터에, 취학의무를 면제 또는 유예 받으려는 아동이나 학생의 보호자는 2023년 1월 1일부터 입학일 전일까지 증빙서류를 준비하여 취학예정 초등학교에 신청하여야 한다.
강남·강북교육지원청은 앞으로도 학생들의 통학편의, 학교 간의 적절한 학급편제, 학부모 등 지역주민 정서를 반영하여 최적화된 교육환경을 조성하기 위해 최선을 다할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

In order to shorten the commuting distance, next year's school district was changed to Dongdaecho, the current school district of Sincheon Elementary School, the school district of Sinjeong 2-dong 19-tong 8-ban, Gaeuncho, and the school district of Beomseo Elementary School, 18 Tong 5-ban, Cheoncho.
The newly confirmed school district will be applied to new students in 2023, and based on this, the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Center will designate schools for prospective students (born in 2016 and preschool children in the previous year) and distribute school notices to guardians by December 20. Children attending special classes can visit the assigned school on the school notice or the school designated by the special support center.
The preliminary call for those scheduled to attend elementary school in 2023 will be from January 3 to 4 next year (January 10th, the date of additional preliminary call-up), and parents should respond with school children. However, the schedule or method may vary depending on the size of the enrolled students and the stage of COVID-19 social distancing, so parents or guardians can contact the school in advance or participate in the preliminary call after reading the school website guidelines.
In addition, if children born in 2017 want to enter early or postpone their admission to the Eup, Myeon, or Dong administrative welfare center by December 31, and guardians of children or students who wish to be exempted or suspended from school duty shall prepare evidential documents from January 1, 2023 to the day before the entrance date.
The Gangnam-Gangbuk Office of Education said it will continue to do its best to create an optimized educational environment by reflecting students' convenience in commuting, appropriate class arrangement between schools, and emotions of local residents such as parents.
