[시사뉴스 정윤철 기자] 동구청은 남목도시재생뉴딜사업의 일환으로 추진하는 나눔센터의 리모델링공사를 위한 건축설계 공모를 완료하고 공모작을 선정함에 따라 사업 추진이 본격화되고 있다.
동구청은 낙후된 도시기능을 되살리는 도시재생사업의 취지를 살려, 남목시장 뒤편에 수년간 비어있던 오래된 4층 건물을 매입후 리모델링해 나눔센터를 조성한다.
나눔센터는 총 사업비 31억(부지매입비 11억, 공사비 등 20억)을 들여 지하1층, 지상4층 연면적 828㎡ 규모로 리모델링되며 주요 시설로는 낭만주막, 문화시설, 도시재생현장지원센터, 취·창업지원센터, 공유주방, 프로그램실 등이 있다.
동구청은 내년 2월까지 설계 의도를 충실히 반영해 실시설계를 완료하고 내년 10월까지 준공할 예정이다.
동구청은 창의적이며 예술성과 작품성을 갖추고 지역의 역사, 문화, 환경을 고려한 특색있는 나눔센터로 리모델링하기 위해 지난 9월 설계공모를 실시했다. 3개 업체가 공모안을 제출했으며 지난 17일 공모심사위원회를 통하여 당선작과 우수작을 선정하였다.
동구청 관계자는 “낙후된 도시공간에 활기를 불어넣음으로서 도시 전체가 되살아나게 하는 도시재생사업의 취지를 살려 기존의 낡은 건물을 주민들의 창업을 돕고 지역상권활성화를 위한 거점공간으로 새롭게 탈바꿈시키고 있다”며 “나눔센터의 조성으로 퇴직자들의 일자리증가와 지역상권이 활성화 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.
The Dong-gu Office has completed the architectural design contest for the remodeling work of the Sharing Center, which is being promoted as part of the Nammok Urban Regeneration New Deal Project, and has selected a public offering.
Taking advantage of the purpose of the urban regeneration project to revive underdeveloped urban functions, the Dong-gu Office will purchase and remodel an old four-story building that has been empty for years behind Nammok Market to create a sharing center.
The sharing center will be remodeled with a total project cost of 3.1 billion won (1.1 billion won for land purchase, 2 billion won for construction, etc.) and its main facilities include a romantic tavern, cultural facilities, urban regeneration site support center, job and start-up support center, shared kitchen, and program room.
The Dong-gu Office will faithfully reflect the design intentions by February next year and complete the implementation design by October next year.
The Dong-gu Office held a design contest in September to remodel it into a unique sharing center that is creative, has artistry and workmanship and considers the history, culture, and environment of the region. Three companies submitted proposals for the contest, and on the 17th, the winning and outstanding works were selected through the contest review committee.
An official from Dong-gu Office said, "We are transforming the existing old building into a base space to help residents start their own businesses and revitalize local commercial districts by revitalizing the city's outdated urban space."
