[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 경주·울산·포항시가 참가하는 ‘2022 해오름 생활체육 대축전’이 19일 경주실내체육관에서 열렸다.
‘해오름 생활체육 대축전’은 3개 지자체 단체장들과 시의원, 생활 체육인들이 함께 모여 스포츠 교류를 통한 우정과 화합을 다지는 자리다.
2018년 울산, 2019년 포항에서 개최된 이후 3년 만에 경주에서 3개 지자체 생활 체육인 등 500여명이 참가했다.
이날 대축전은 경주시립합창단 남성중창단의 식전 공연을 시작으로 개회식이 열렸으며, 1부 명랑운동회가 열리기 전 단체장 대항전 이벤트 경기(한궁)도 펼쳐졌다.
1부 명랑운동회는 몸 풀기 체조를 시작으로 모든 참가자들이 함께하는 풍선 탑 쌓기, 에어봉 단체릴레이를 진행하고 3개 지자체 시의원들로 구성된 족구경기를 진행했다.
2부는 명랑운동회로 제기차기, 단체줄넘기, 협동 공 튀기기를 진행하며 종목별 경기로 배구(실내체육관), 농구(동국대학교WISE 캠퍼스), 파크골프(알천파크골프장)가 진행됐다.
또 이날 생활체육 대축전이 끝난 뒤에는 경주역사유적지구인 월정교와 황룡사역사문화관을 둘러보는 문화탐방이 준비되면서, 3개 지자체 연합 행사의 의미를 더했다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “해오름 생활체육대축전을 통해 경주, 포항, 울산, 동해 남부권 도시들이 서로 화합을 다지고 지역에 활력을 가져오는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편 동해남부권(경주·울산·포항) ‘해오름동맹’은 2016년 6월 울산~포항 간 고속도로 개통을 계기로 3개 도시 간 역사적, 공간적 동질감을 바탕으로 상생발전을 위해 결성된 단체다.

In three years since it was held in Ulsan in 2018 and Pohang in 2019, more than 500 people, including living sportsmen from three local governments, participated in Gyeongju.
The grand festival was held starting with a pre-ceremony performance by the male choir of the Gyeongju City Choir, and the event (Hangung) was also held before the first part of the cheerful sports day.
Starting with warm-up gymnastics, the first part of the cheerful sports day held balloon tower building, air rod group relay, and foot volleyball games consisting of city councilors from three local governments.
The second part was a cheerful sports day, where jegi kicks, group jump rope, and cooperative ball bouncing were held, and volleyball (indoor gym), basketball (Dongkuk University WISE campus), and park golf (Alcheon Park Golf Course) were held as events.
In addition, after the sports festival, a cultural tour was prepared to tour Woljeonggyo Bridge and Hwangnyongsa History and Culture Center, Gyeongju Historic District, adding to the meaning of the three local government joint events.
Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young said, "I hope the Haeoreum Sports Festival will serve as an opportunity for cities in the southern regions of Gyeongju, Pohang, Ulsan, and the East Sea to strengthen harmony and revitalize the region."
Meanwhile, the "Haeoreum Alliance" in the southern part of the East Sea (Gyeongju, Ulsan, Pohang) was formed for win-win development based on historical and spatial homogeneity between the three cities with the opening of the highway between Ulsan and Pohang in June 2016.
