[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 이철우 경북도지사는 지난 18일 상주 수암종택에서 국가민속문화재 승격기념 고유 작헌례 초헌관(初獻官)을 맡아 제례를 지냈다.
상주 수암종택은 국가지정문화재 예고 기간을 거쳐 올해 8월 22일 국가민속문화재로 승격·지정됐다.
상주 수암종택은 서애 류성룡의 셋째 아들 수암 류진(柳袗, 1582 ~1635)을 불천위로 모시는 종가로 속리산, 팔공산, 일월산의 지맥이 모이고 낙동강과 위천이 합류하는‘삼산이수(三山二水)’의 명당자리에 자리하고 있다.
건축적인 특징을 보면 안채와 사랑채가 하나로 이어진‘ㅁ’자형 본채는 경북 북부지방의 특성을 잘 반영하고 있다.
특히 안채 대청 우측 마루방의 지면을 들어 올려 누마루처럼 꾸민 점은 다른 고택에서 살펴 볼 수 없는 특징을 가지고 있다.
또 안채 대청 상량묵서에 건립연대가 명확하게 남아 있는 점 등 비교적 원형의 모습을 잘 유지하고 있는 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.
아울러, 불천위제사, 기묘제 등 제례문화가 현재까지 전승되고 있는 점과 녹패, 간찰 등 고문헌과 등롱, 가마, 관복 등 여러 민속유물들이 잘 남아 있어 수암종택이 귀중한 문화유산임을 보여 주고 있다.
이번 국가민속문화재 승격 기념 고유 작헌례는 상주 수암문화제와 함께 진행해 의미를 더했다.
이철우 경북도지사는“경북은 유네스코 세계유산 15건 중 5건을 보유하고 있고 2300여점의 문화재를 보존하고 있는 문화유산의 고장으로 한국을 넘어 세계유산으로 그 가치를 평가받고 있다”며 “앞으로도 경북 문화재의 가치를 널리 알리고 미래세대에게 전통문화와 정신을 전승 보존할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 올해 12월 초 ｢하회별신굿탈놀이｣, ｢예천청단놀음｣이 세계인류무형유산 등재를 기다리고 있고, 11월 말 ｢내방가사｣, ｢삼국유사｣도 아시아·태평양 기록유산 등재가 예정돼 있다.

Sangju Suam Jongtaek was promoted and designated as a national folk cultural property on August 22 this year after the national designated cultural property notice period.
Sangju Suamjongtaek is the head family that enshrines Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong's third son Suam Ryujin (1582-1635) to Bulcheonwi, and is located at the site of Samsan Isu, where the branches of Songnisan, Palgongsan, and Ilwolsan Mountain gather and Nakdonggang River and Wicheon join.
Looking at the architectural characteristics, the "'"-shaped main house, where the main house and the detached house are connected as one, reflects the characteristics of the northern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
In particular, the fact that the floor room on the right side of the main hall of the main house is lifted and decorated like a numaru has a characteristic that cannot be seen in other old houses.
In addition, it was highly praised for maintaining its relatively original shape, such as the fact that the construction date remains clearly in Sangryangmukseo, Daecheong of the main house.
In addition, the ritual culture such as Bulcheonwije and Gimyoje has been handed down so far, and various folk relics such as old houses such as Nokpae and Ganchal, lanterns, kilns, and official uniforms remain, showing that Suamjongtaek is a valuable cultural heritage.
This unique constitution to commemorate the promotion of national folk cultural properties was held in conjunction with the Sangju Suam Cultural Festival, adding meaning.
Gyeongbuk Province Governor Lee Chul-woo said, "Gyeongbuk has five out of 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites and preserves 2,300 cultural properties, and is valued as a world heritage beyond Korea. We will continue to promote the value of Gyeongbuk cultural properties and preserve traditional culture and spirit to future generations."
Meanwhile, in early December this year, Hahoe Byeolsinguttalnori and Yecheon Cheongdannori are waiting for the registration of the World Intangible Heritage, and at the end of November, Naebangasa and Samguk Yusa are also scheduled to be registered as Asia-Pacific Records.
