[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)이 폴란드 퐁트누프 신규원전 사업을 위한 부지조사에 착수했다.

한수원은 한전기술 등 관련 회사들과 부지 조사단을 구성해 9일(이하 현지시각) 신규원전 부지인 퐁트누프 발전소를 방문했다. 조사단은 폴란드 신규원전 사업을 추진하고 있는 민간 발전사인 ZE PAK 실무자들과 함께 냉각용수량, 전력망, 환경 등 부지 적합성을 확인하고 솔라쉬(Solorz) ZE PAK 회장을 만나 사업 협력방안에 대해 논의했다.

또한 폴란드에서 현재 진행 중인 정부 및 민간주도 신규원전 사업에 대한 양국 기업간 긴밀한 협력을 위해 10일 폴란드 바르샤바 쉐라톤 그랜드 호텔에서 폴란드 정부와 사업 관계자 및 현지 공급사 등 200여명이 참여한 가운데 APR1400 공급자 심포지엄을 개최했다. 한수원, 한국원전수출산업협회(KNA), 폴란드 전력산업협회(IGEOS)가 공동 개최한 이 행사에는 한전기술, 한전원자력연료, 한전KPS, 두산에너빌리티, 대우건설 등 팀코리아가 참여해 우리 원전기술의 우수성, 현지화 전략 등을 발표하고 폴란드 신규원전 사업 공급노형인 APR1400을 소개했다.

또, 기업간 분야별 B2B 회의를 열고, 한국과 폴란드 원전 관련 기업들이 상호 협력 분야를 협의하고 인적교류를 확대하는 자리를 마련했다. 이날 행사에서 팀코리아는 Zarmen, APS Energia, Energomontaz, Ecol, Finow 등 13곳의 폴란드 현지 공급사들과 기자재 공급 및 운영정비 등에 관한 상호협력 MOU를 체결하고, 폴란드 신규원전 사업을 위해 기업간 협력을 강화하기로 했다.

남요식 한수원 성장사업본부장은 같은 날 임훈민 주폴란드 대사와 함께 야체크 사신(Jacek Sasin) 부총리 겸 국유재산부 장관과 면담을 하고, 사업계획서 작성 방향, 부지 타당성 평가계획, ZE PAK과 협력방안 등에 대해 논의했다.

앞서 한수원은 지난달 31일 ZE PAK 및 폴란드 국영 전력공사(PGE)와 협력의향서(LOI)를, 산업통상자원부와 폴란드 국유재산부는 정부부처간 양해각서를 체결하고 폴란드 퐁트누프 부지에 신규원전 건설을 추진하기로 한 바 있다.

한수원은 7일과 8일에는 체코 신규원전 사업과 관련해 협력하고 있는 체코 현지 기업 12곳을 방문해 사업 진행 현황을 설명하고 사업협력 방안을 심도 있게 협의하는 등 적극적인 현지 수주활동을 펼쳤다. 이후 11일에는 체코 프라하에서 개최되는 제7차 한국-체코 미래포럼에 참석해 한국 원전건설사업의 경쟁력에 대해 발표하고 체코 신규원전 사업을 위한 최적의 파트너가 한수원임을 강조할 예정이다.

한편, 체코 신규원전 사업은 한국, 미국, 프랑스 3개국 공급사를 대상으로 지난 3월 본입찰이 개시됐다. 한수원은 이달 말까지 모든 준비를 완료하고 입찰서를 최종 제출할 예정이다. 폴란드 신규원전 사업에 대해서는 올해 말까지 공정, 공사비, 재원조달 방법 등이 포함된 사업 기본계획을 수립할 계획이다.

황주호 한수원 사장은 “폴란드 신규원전 사업을 위한 기업간 협력의향서를 체결한 만큼, 팀코리아의 뛰어난 역량을 바탕으로 안전성, 기술력, 경제성, 공기 준수 등 모든 면에서 세계 최고 수준의 원전 사업으로 이어질 수 있도록 할 것”이라며, “체코 신규원전 사업 역시 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 최선을 다해 준비하겠다”고 말했다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (CEO Hwang Joo-ho, KHNP) has launched a site survey for the new Pontnoop nuclear power plant project in Poland.

KHNP formed a site investigation team with related companies such as KEPCO Technology and visited the Pontnoop Power Plant, the site of the new nuclear power plant, on the 9th (local time). The investigation team, along with ZEPAK practitioners, a private power company that is pursuing a new Polish nuclear power plant project, confirmed the suitability of the site, including cooling water, power grid, and environment, and met with ZEPAK Chairman Solorz to discuss ways to cooperate.

The APR 1400 Supplier Symposium was held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Warsaw, Poland, with 200 Polish government, business officials and local suppliers participating to closely cooperate on the ongoing government and private-led new nuclear power plant projects. Team Korea, including KEPCO Technology, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel, KEPCO KPS, Doosan Energy, and Daewoo Engineering & Construction, announced the excellence and localization strategies of Korea's nuclear power plant, and introduced APR1400.

In addition, a B2B meeting was held between companies, and Korean and Polish nuclear power plant-related companies discussed mutual cooperation and expanded human exchanges. At the event, Team Korea signed MOUs with 13 Polish suppliers, including Zarmen, APS Energia, Energomontaz, Ecol, and Finow, on supply and operation of equipment, and decided to strengthen cooperation among companies for Poland's new nuclear power plant project.

Nam Yo-sik, head of KHNP's growth business division, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Property Jacek Sasin with Lim Hoon-min, Ambassador to Poland, and discussed the direction of the project plan, site feasibility assessment plan, and cooperation with ZEPAK.

KHNP signed a letter of intent (LOI) with ZEPAK and Poland's state-run power corporation (PGE) on the 31st of last month, and signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Poland's state-owned property.

KHNP visited 12 local companies in the Czech Republic that are cooperating on the new nuclear power plant project on the 7th and 8th to explain the progress of the project and discuss in-depth business cooperation measures. On the 11th, he will attend the 7th Korea-Czech Future Forum in Prague, Czech Republic, to announce the competitiveness of the Korean nuclear power plant construction project, and emphasize that KHNP is the best partner for the new Czech nuclear power plant project.

Meanwhile, the main bidding for the new Czech nuclear power plant project began in March for suppliers from three countries, South Korea, the United States, and France. KHNP will complete all preparations by the end of this month and submit the final bid. For Poland's new nuclear power plant project, it plans to establish a basic plan for the project that includes processes, construction costs, and financing methods by the end of this year.

"As we have signed a letter of intent to cooperate between companies for the new Polish nuclear power plant project, we will make sure that Team Korea's outstanding capabilities lead to the world's best nuclear power plant project in terms of safety, technology, economy, and air compliance," KHNP President Hwang Joo-ho said.
