[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 대구 동구와 경북 청송군이 자매도시가 됐다.
대구 동구청(구청장 윤석준)과 경북 청송군(군수 윤경희)은 지난 9일, 청송군청 제1회의실에서 자매결연 협정식을 개최했다. 이날 협정식에는 윤석준 동구청장과 윤경희 청송군수를 비롯해 지방의회의원 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
이날 자매결연은 양 지자체간 상생 발전 및 우호교류의 일환으로 마련됐다. 앞으로 양 지자체는 상호 신뢰를 바탕으로 행정, 문화, 경제 등 우수시책 사업 공유, 지역경제활성화 협력, 민간단체간 교류활동 등 다양한 분야에서 상생 발전을 이뤄나갈 계획이다.
청송군은 천혜의 자연환경을 바탕으로 사과, 자두, 배추와 같은 특산품이 특히 유명하다. 또, 우수한 자연환경과 더불어 문화와 역사적 가치를 인정받아 대한민국 내륙 최초로 유네스코 세계 지질공원으로 등재돼 세계인이 찾는 관광 · 휴양도시로 발돋움 하고 있다.
따뜻한 공동체, 내일이 더 기대되는 대구 동구는 대구·경북의 명산 팔공산을 품고 있는 관광도시이며, 대구경북통합신공항 건설에 따른 공항후적지 개발로 미래가 기대되는 도시다.
윤경희 청송군수는 “이번 자매결연이 경제, 문화, 관광, 교육 등 다양한 분야에서 소중한 파트너가 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 양 도시가 상생협력을 통한 공동성장과 번영의 길을 함께 걸어가자”고 말했다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “대구 동구와 청송군의 이번 자매결연이 지자체간 한 뿌리 상생의 밑거름이 되고, 나아가 민간단체, 주민들의 활발한 소통과 교류로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Dong-gu Office (District Mayor Yoon Seok-joon) and Gyeongbuk Cheongsong-gun (County Mayor Yoon Kyung-hee) held a sisterhood agreement ceremony at the first meeting room of Cheongsong-gun Office on the 9th. More than 100 people attended the agreement ceremony, including Yoon Seok-joon, head of Dong-gu District Office, Yoon Kyung-hee, head of Cheongsong County, and local councilors.
The sisterhood alliance was arranged as part of the win-win development and friendly exchange between the two local governments. Based on mutual trust, the two local governments plan to achieve win-win development in various fields such as sharing excellent policy projects such as administration, culture, and economy, cooperation in revitalizing the local economy, and exchange activities between private organizations.
Cheongsong-gun is particularly famous for its specialties such as apples, plums, and cabbages based on its natural environment. In addition, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Geopark for the first time in inland Korea in recognition of its excellent natural environment and cultural and historical value, making it a tourist and resort city visited by people around the world.
Dong-gu, Daegu, which is a warm community, is a tourist city with Palgongsan Mountain, a famous mountain in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and is expected to have a future due to the development of airport traces following the construction of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport.
Yoon Kyung-hee, head of Cheongsong County, said, "I hope this sisterhood will become a valuable partner in various fields such as economy, culture, tourism, and education," adding, "Let the two cities continue to walk together on the path of joint growth and prosperity through win-win cooperation."
Yoon Seok-joon, head of Dong-gu District Office, said, "We will make efforts to help the sisterhood relationship between Dong-gu and Cheongsong-gun in Daegu serve as a foundation for mutual co-prosperity between local governments and lead to active communication and exchanges between private organizations and residents."
