[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 대구광역시의회 통합신공항 건설 특별위원회(이하 ‘특위’, 위원장 박소영 의원)는 11. 7.(월) 동인청사에서 홍준표 대구시장과 간담회를 가지고 통합신공항 건설 사업의 추진상황 및 주요 현안에 대한 정보를 공유했다.
이날 간담회는 통합신공항 건설 사업의 가장 핵심 법률안인「경상북도와 대구광역시 간 관할구역 변경에 관한 법률안」과「대구경북통합신공항 건설을 위한 특별법안」의 연내 국회 처리를 앞둔 시점에서 현재의 추진상황 및 전망, 정치권의 동향 등에 대한 의견을 나누고자 마련됐다.
군위군 대구 편입문제에 대한 특위 위원들의 질문에 대해 홍준표 시장은 11월 내 소관 상임위 소위 상정을 비롯한 국회 처리를 긍정적으로 보고 있으며, 후속 행정절차를 통해 내년 7월에는 대구로 편입될 것이라고 답했다.
또한, 통합신공항 특별법 추진 상황에 대한 질문에 법률안이 원안대로 통과될 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 말하고, 법률안이 통과되면 내년부터 본격적인 사업이 추진되므로 시의회의 적극적인 협조가 필수라며 특위를 비롯한 대구시의회의 적극적인 지원을 요청했다.
박소영 위원장(동구2)은 ”통합신공항 건설 사업의 추진상황과 주요 현안에 대해 시장님의 의견을 직접 청취할 수 있는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 ”관련 법률안을 반드시 연내 처리해 통합신공항 건설 사업이 계획대로 추진될 수 있도록 노력해 달라”고 당부하고, “시의회 차원의 지원이 필요한 부분이 있으면 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
The Daegu Metropolitan Council's Special Committee on the Construction of the Integrated New Airport (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Committee", Chairman Park So-young) held a meeting with Daegu Mayor of Hong Joon Pyo on November 7 (Mon) to share information on the progress of the integrated new airport construction project and major issues.
The meeting was held to share opinions on the current progress, prospects, and political trends ahead of the National Assembly's passage by the end of this year of the law on the change of jurisdiction between Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City.
In response to questions from members of the special committee on the transfer of the military to Daegu, Mayor Hong Joon Pyo said he was positive about the parliamentary process, including the sub-committee's sub-committee in November, and that he would be transferred to Daegu next July through follow-up administrative procedures.
When asked about the progress of the special law on the integrated new airport, he said he would try to pass the bill as originally planned, and asked for active support from the Daegu City Council, including the special committee, saying, "If the bill is passed, full-fledged projects will be carried out next year."
Chairman Park So-young (Dong-gu 2) said, "It was a meaningful place to hear the mayor's opinions on the progress and major issues of the integrated new airport construction project. Please make sure to deal with the relevant legislation by the end of this year so that the integrated new airport construction project can proceed as planned."
