[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 김병욱 의원(포항시남구울릉군)이 국민의힘 경제안정특별위원회 위원으로 임명됐다.
국민의힘 경제안정특별위원회(위원장 류성걸)는 7일 국회의원회관 제2세미나실에서 제1차 회의를 개최하고 임명장 수여식을 진행했다. 이 자리에는 정진석 국민의힘 비상대책위원장도 참석했다.
국민의힘 경제안정특별위원회는 현 경제 상황을 면밀하게 진단하고 현안에 대응하기 위해 기존 ‘물가와 민생안정특별위원회’를 확대 개편한 것이다. 위원장은 류성걸 의원, 위원은 이인선, 윤창현, 조은희, 서범수, 박수영, 최승재, 배준영, 정희용, 김병욱 국회의원으로 구성됐다. 외부 위원은 재정‧금융‧산업‧조세‧농림‧부동산 분야의 전문가들로 꾸려졌다.
이날 회의에서 위원들은 레고랜드발 자금경색 등 금융시장 현황을 점검하고 자금시장 안정화 방안을 논의했다. 또 금융감독원의 회사채‧단기금융시장 동향 및 한국은행의 금융시장 안정화 조치 현황도 공유했다.
정부 측에서는 방기선 기획재정부 1차관, 김소영 금융위원회 부위원장, 김병칠 금융감독원 부원장보, 이승헌 한국은행 부총재 등이 참석했다.
김병욱 의원은 “금리인상과 무역수지 적자 확대 등 요인으로 경기가 악화되고 대출이자가 급증하는 등 민생 경제가 매우 불안정하다”며, “특위 활동을 통해 서민의 고통을 덜어드릴 방안을 찾는데 전력을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
Lawmaker Kim Byung-wook (Ulleung-gun, Nam-gu, Pohang) was appointed as a member of the Special Committee on Economic Stability of the People's Power.
The People's Power Special Committee for Economic Stability (Chairman Ryu Sung-geol) held the first meeting at the second seminar room of the National Assembly building on the 7th and held a ceremony to award the letter of appointment. Chung Jin-seok, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee, also attended the meeting.
The Special Committee on Economic Stability of the People's Power expanded and reorganized the existing Special Committee on Price and People's Livelihood Stability to closely diagnose the current economic situation and respond to pending issues. The committee consists of Rep. Ryu Sung-gul, and lawmakers Lee In-sun, Yoon Chang-hyun, Cho Eun-hee, Seo Bum-soo, Park Soo-young, Choi Seung-jae, Bae Joon-young, Jung Hee-yong, and Kim Byung-wook. External members were composed of experts in the fields of finance, finance, industry, taxation, agriculture, and real estate.
At the meeting, the committee members examined the financial market status, including the financial crunch from Legoland, and discussed ways to stabilize the money market. It also shared the Financial Supervisory Service's corporate bond and short-term financial market trends and the Bank of Korea's financial market stabilization measures.
On the government side, Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance Bang Ki-sun, Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission Kim So-young, Vice President of the Financial Supervisory Service Kim Byung-chil, and Vice President of the Bank of Korea Lee Seung-heon attended.
Lawmaker Kim Byung-wook said, "The economy is very unstable, with the economy worsening and loan interest soaring due to factors such as a rate hike and a widening trade deficit," adding, "We will do our best to find ways to ease the pain of ordinary people through special committee activities."
