[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 4일 구청 대강당에서 멘토링봉사단에 활동 중인 멘토를 대상으로「멘토링봉사단 우수사례 발표회」를 개최했다.
달서구는 2007년부터 한부모, 조손가정 등 저소득 청소년(멘티) 40팀과 1:1결연해 15년간 멘토링을 추진해 왔으며, 2019년에는 다문화 청소년까지 확대되어 현재 멘토와 멘티 320팀이 참여하고 있다.
지난해 코로나 19의 어려움에도 불구하고 멘토링봉사단은 저소득 아동에게 비대면․대면 방식으로 멘토링을 추진해 아이들의 안전한 울타리 역할을 톡톡히 해내고 있으며 달서구만의 멘토링 사례를 발굴, 전파하고자 이번 행사를 준비했다.
멘토링 우수사례 공모전은 지난 10월 11일부터 16일까지 체험 수기를 공모해 총 78명의 멘토가 참여했으며, 1차 심사와 2차 전문가 심사를 통해 총 10개의 우수사례를 선정 했다.
이번 행사 1부는 수상자 격려 및 나눔실천 유공자 표창, 우수사례 시상, 2부는 멘토링봉사단 우수사례 발표회를 진행했으며, 우수사례 발표회는 김의용 강사(안심제1종합사회복지관)의 진행으로 우수, 최우수, 대상 순서로 사례를 발표하고 사례별 슈퍼비젼을 제공했다.
이태훈 달서구청장은“멘토링 사례 공유를 통해 멘토링 문화가 확산되기를 기대하며, 청소년들이 꿈을 잃지 않고 올바른 가치관을 가진 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 마이웨이(my way)가 아니라 함께 하는 우리의 길(our way)이 되는 멘토링으로 활성화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Since 2007, Dalseo-gu has been promoting mentoring for 15 years in a 1:1 alliance with 40 low-income youth (mentee) teams such as single parents and grandchildren, and in 2019, it has expanded to multicultural youth, with mentors and mentees 320 teams participating.
Despite the difficulties of COVID-19 last year, the mentoring volunteer group has been promoting mentoring to low-income children in a non-face-to-face manner, serving as a safe fence for children, and has prepared this event to discover and spread cases of mentoring unique to Dalseo-gu.
A total of 78 mentors participated in the mentoring best practice contest from October 11th to 16th, and a total of 10 best practices were selected through the first and second expert reviews.
The first part of the event was a commendation for the winners and a commendation for sharing practice, a best practice award, and the second part was a presentation of best practices by instructor Kim Eui-yong (Safe 1st General Social Welfare Center).
Taehoon Lee Mayor of Dalseo-gu District Office said, "We hope that the mentoring culture will spread through sharing mentoring cases, and we will activate it as mentoring that becomes our way together, not my way, so that teenagers can grow into talented people with the right values without losing their dreams."
