[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 안동시(시장 권기창)는 관내 연구기관 간 협력체계를 구축하고 국가혁신사업 선정을 위한 실질적인 추진 방향과 전략 수립을 위해 11월 3일 안동 그랜드호텔에서 “제1회 안동 미래 신성장산업 포럼”을 개최했다.
4차산업혁명 시대 기술적 융합의 중요성이 날로 커지며 이를 해석하고 활용할 수 있는 인재와 연구기관의 역할이 점점 증가하고 있다. 이번 포럼은 관내 연구원 간 협력을 위한 소통의 장을 만들고 미래 안동이 나아갈 길을 함께 머리를 맞대고 고민할 시간을 가지고자 마련했다.
포럼에는 안동시 소재 연구원과 3개 대학 산학협력단, 상공회의소 및 기업 관계자 120여 명이 참여해 각 연구원에서 추진하고 있는 주요 사업 현황을 공유했다.
권기창 안동시장의 안동재창조를 위한 비전 2030, 배진희 한국산업기술진흥원(Kiat) 팀장의 국가사업 공모 선정을 위한 특강과 함께 한상덕 경상대학교 교수의 인문학 강의도 진행됐다.
또한, 이날 우수한 연구실적으로 안동시 발전에 기여한 한국전자통신연구원 문애경 책임연구원과 경북바이오산업연구원 박병수 연구원에게 표창패가 수여됐다. 문애경 연구원은 지역ICT기술 고도화에, 박병수 연구원은 헴프 규제자유특구 사업추진에 크게 기여한 성과를 인정받았다.
권기창 안동시장은 “신 성장산업이 지역 내 뿌리 내리기 위해서는 관내 연구원·대학·기업 간 전략적 협업 네크워크 구축이 필수적”이라면서 “｢제1회 안동 미래 신성장산업포럼｣이 미래 먹거리 사업을 모색하는 첫 출발점이자 안동이 혁신적인 성장과 도약을 이루는 발판이 되기를 기대한다”라고 전했다.

In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the importance of technological convergence is increasing day by day, and the role of talent and research institutes that can interpret and utilize it is increasing. This forum was designed to create a place for communication for cooperation between researchers in the jurisdiction and to have time to think together about the future path of Andong.
More than 120 researchers from Andong City, industry-academic cooperation groups from three universities, chambers of commerce and companies participated in the forum to share the status of major projects being promoted by each institute.
Andong Mayor Kwon Ki-chang's Vision for Andong Recreation 2030 and Bae Jin-hee, head of the Korea Institute for Industrial Technology Promotion (Kiat), gave a special lecture on humanities by Professor Han Sang-deok of Gyeongsang National University.
In addition, commendations were awarded to Moon Ae-kyung, a senior researcher at the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and Park Byung-soo, a researcher at the Gyeongbuk Bio Industry Research Institute, who contributed to the development of Andong City with excellent research performance. Researcher Moon Ae-kyung was recognized for his contribution to the advancement of local ICT technology, and researcher Park Byung-soo was recognized for his contribution to the promotion of the Hemp Regulatory Free Zone project.
Andong Mayor Kwon Ki-chang said, "In order for the new growth industry to take root in the region, it is essential to establish a strategic cooperative network between researchers, universities, and companies in the jurisdiction."
