[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 이철우 경상북도지사는 31일 도청 동락관에 마련된 이태원 참사 희생자 도민분향소에서 조문을 마치고 바로 봉화광산 매몰사고 등 안전대책 긴급회의를 주재한 뒤 봉화 광산 고립 사고현장을 찾았다
현장을 찾은 이철우 도지사는 구조 상황을 점검하고 구조작업 현장인력과 고립자 가족과의 대화를 통해 현장대처의 문제점과 현장에서 긴급하게 필요한 사항을 청취하며 미흡한 부분을 즉각 보강할 것을 지시했다.
먼저, 시축작업과 구조 갱도 작업과 관련해 이철우 도지사는 천공실패에 대비해 국내에서 가용할 수 있는 모든 장비를 동원해 줄 것을 산업부와 관계기관에 요청했다.
또 부족한 장비운영 전문인력 확보를 위해 강원도 등 광업이 활발한 지역에 추가로 지원을 요청하기로 했다.
특히, 행정부지사를 반장으로 구조대책반을 가동하고 구조작업과 지원 사항 등을 현장에서 지휘하라고 지시했다.
아울러, 24시간 밤낮없이 구조 활동을 펼치는 구조인력들의 피로가 누적되지 않도록 질 높은 급식과 충분한 휴식이 제공될 수 있도록 조치를 취하라고 당부했다.
특히, 구조 활동에 필요한 추가비용 등 예산에 대해서는 조금도 신경 쓰지 말고 구조에만 전념할 것도 주문했다.
한편, 애타는 심정으로 구조를 기다리는 고립자 가족에게는 현장본부에서 먼저 구조상황에 대한 정보를 가족에게 투명하게 공개하고, 관련 회의 시 반드시 가족 대표들이 참여해 작업에 대한 불신을 없애도록 당부했다.
또 국내 최고 전문가가 구조작업에 참여하고 있음도 가족에게 알려줘 구조활동을 믿고 지켜봐줄 수 있도록 요청했다.
이철우 경북도지사는 “구조를 위해 필요한 것이 있다면 전폭적으로 지원할 계획이다. 더 많은 인력과 장비를 동원해 달라”며 “구조작업자들은 내 가족이 고립돼 있다는 마음으로 임해 주시고, 가족 분들도 작업자들이 내 가족이라는 생각으로 서로 협력해 하루빨리 고립되신 분들이 생환할 수 있도록 최선을 다하자”고 당부했다.
한편, 봉화 고립사고 현장은 지난달 26일 오후 6시 봉화 소천면 소재 금호 광산 갱도 내로 밀려들어온 모래로 갇힘 사고가 발생해 근로자 2명이 고립된 상황이다.
이를 구조하기 위해 산업부와 한국광해광업공단, 경북도, 봉화군이 함께 총력을 기울여 구조작업을 벌이고 있다.

Meanwhile, families of isolated people who are waiting for rescue with anxiety were asked to first disclose information on the rescue situation to their families at the site headquarters, and to participate in related meetings to eliminate distrust in the work.
He also asked his family to let them know that the nation's top expert is participating in the rescue operation so that they can trust and watch the rescue activities.

Meanwhile, the site of the Bonghwa isolation accident was trapped in sand that flooded into the Kumho mine shaft in Socheon-myeon, Bonghwa, at 6 p.m. on the 26th of last month, leaving two workers isolated.
To rescue this, the Ministry of Industry, the Korea Mine Corporation, North Gyeongsang Province, and Bonghwa County are working together to rescue it.
