[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 김천 지역 청소년 예술가들의 작품 전시회가 경주엑스포대공원에서 열리고 있다.
경주엑스포대공원은 지난 15일부터 문화센터 전시실에서 김천예술고등학교 조형예술과 작품전을 개최하고 있다.
이번 작품전은 지난해 맺은 경주엑스포대공원과 김천예술고등학교의 업무협약의 일환으로 지역예술인 양성을 위한 기회 제공 및 지역사회 문화‧예술발전에 기여하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 전시에는 오는 26일까지 열리며, 학생들의 창의적인 시각과 독창성이 담긴 동양화, 서양화, 디자인, 애니메이션 등 다양한 미술 작품 60여점을 만날 수 있다.
서수용 김천예고 교장은 “이번 경주엑스포대공원 전시는 지역 문화예술 발전에 기여하는 인재로 성장하고 있는 학생들에게 다양한 기회를 제공하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “학생들의 정성과 노력이 깃든 소중한 작품을 보고 즐기며, 학생들의 꿈을 응원해 줄 것을 당부드린다”고 말했다.
류희림 경주엑스포대공원 대표는 “지역 미술계를 이끌 미래의 예술인들의 작품을 미리 만날 수 있는 전시회가 될 것”이라며 “김천예술고등학교와 지속적으로 교류하며 학생들에게 문화‧예술을 위한 다양한 기회를 제공할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
한편 경주엑스포와 김천예술고는 2021년 8월 문화예술 창의인재 양성을 위한 상호 교류협약을 맺고 첫 작품 전시회를 가진데 이어 올해 2번째 작품전을 열게 된 것이다.

Gyeongju Expo Grand Park has been holding an exhibition of sculpture and art at Gimcheon Arts High School in the exhibition room of the Cultural Center since the 15th.
This exhibition is part of a business agreement signed last year between Gyeongju Expo Park and Gimcheon Arts High School to provide opportunities to foster local artists and contribute to the development of culture and arts in the community.
The exhibition will be held until the 26th, and you will be able to meet about 60 works of art, including oriental paintings, Western paintings, designs and animations, which contain students' creative perspectives and originality.
"This exhibition of Gyeongju Expo Grand Park will provide various opportunities to students who are growing as talented people contributing to the development of local culture and arts," said Seo Soo-yong, principal of Gimcheon Arts High School.
Ryu Hee-rim, CEO of Gyeongju Expo Grand Park, said, "It will be an exhibition where we can meet the works of future artists who will lead the local art world in advance. We will continue to interact with Gimcheon Arts High School and provide students with various opportunities for culture and art."
Meanwhile, Gyeongju Expo and Gimcheon Arts High School signed a mutual exchange agreement in August 2021 to foster cultural and artistic creative talents, and held their first exhibition, followed by their second exhibition this year.
