[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 대구시는 11월 2일(수) 오후 2시 달성군 구지면에 소재한 자율주행 융합지원센터에서 자율주행차 상용화를 선도하고 컨트롤타워 역할을 수행할 자율주행 융합지원센터 준공식을 열고 자율주행차 연구환경 조성과 기술개발에 앞장설 계획이다.
정부는 ’27년 자율주행 4단계 수준의 완전자율주행 상용화를 목표로 하는 ‘미래자동차 산업발전 전략’을 발표(’19. 10월)했고, 올해 말, 부분자율주행차(Lv3)를 상용화 출시 예정이다.
이에 맞춰 대구시는 미래자동차 선도도시 조성을 위해 대규모의 자율주행차 연구환경을 꾸준히 조성하고 있다.
대구시는 산업부 공모사업에 선정돼 자율주행 융합기술 실증플랫폼 구축사업(’20~’22년, 356억원)과 미래차 디지털 융합산업 실증플랫폼 구축사업(’21~‘24년, 443억원)을 추진 중으로, 국가산단 R&D지구 내에 연면적 5,619㎡, 지상 3층/지하 1층 규모의 ‘자율주행 융합지원센터’는 중소·중견기업 지원, 자율주행 데이터 실증 연구, 자율주행 부품 시험, 자동차산업 빅데이터를 수집·분석·제공으로 자율주행 자동차의 연구개발·실증을 위한 컨트롤타워 역할을 한다.
자율주행차 실증을 위한 도로 시설은 수성알파시티, 테크노폴리스, 대구국가산단, 달성2차산업단지 일대 총 150㎞ 이상의 시가지 간선 도로에 노변장치, 돌발상황 검지기, 기상관측장비 등을 설치하고 자율 주행융합지원센터와 차량정보, 도로정보, 노면정보 등을 상호 공유해 안전 운행 검증, 자율주행시스템 및 차량 부품별 성능 평가, 주행상황별 차량 동작 정보 등을 수집·분석할 수 있는 환경을 구현하고 있다.
향후 시험·인증을 위한 인프라 구축 확대, 자율주행 융합지원센터 운영으로 자율주행 상용화 전주기 지원을 한 번에 할 수 있는 환경을 구현해 자율주행차 선도도시 조성에 앞장설 계획이다.
이종화 대구시 경제부시장은 “자율주행차 산업은 기계, 전자, 정보통신, 소프트웨어 등 다양한 분야의 첨단 기술이 융합된 부가가치 창출이 큰 산업으로, 전국 최초로 실도로 기반 자율주행 인프라와 연구·개발장비를 활용해 중소·중견기업 지원의 컨트롤타워가 될 것으로 기대하며 자율주행 산업을 적극 육성하겠다”고 말했다.
Daegu City plans to hold a ceremony at 2 p.m. on November 2 (Wed) at the self-driving convergence support center in Guji-myeon, Dalseong-gun to lead the commercialization of self-driving cars and to create a research environment and develop technologies.
The government announced a 'future automobile industry development strategy' aimed at commercializing self-driving at the fourth level of self-driving in 27 years (October 19), and plans to commercialize partial self-driving cars (Lv3) later this year.
In line with this, Daegu City is steadily creating a large-scale self-driving vehicle research environment to create a leading city for future automobiles.
Daegu City has been selected for the Ministry of Industry's public offering project to build a self-driving convergence technology platform (20~22 years, 35.6 billion won) and a future digital convergence industry platform (21~24 years, 44.3 billion won). The autonomous driving convergence support center is a small and medium-sized research center.
Road facilities for self-driving car demonstration are equipped with roadside devices, unexpected situation detectors, weather observation equipment, etc. on roads over 150km in Suseong Alpha City, Technopolis, Daegu National Industrial Complex, and Dalseong 2nd Industrial Complex.
In the future, it plans to take the lead in creating a leading city for autonomous vehicles by implementing an environment that can support the entire period of commercialization of autonomous driving by expanding infrastructure construction for testing and certification and operating an autonomous driving convergence support center.
