[시사뉴스 김남규 기자] 넷마블(대표 권영식, 도기욱)은 블록체인 전문 자회사 MARBLEX(이하 마브렉스)에서 대규모 사용자 기반 웹3 블록체인 인프라 BNB Chain(이하 BNB 체인)과 MBX 생태계 확장을 위한 전략적 파트너십을 구축했다고 10일 밝혔다.

마브렉스는 지난달 개최된 MBX DAY에서 멀티체인 확장 전략 ‘MBX 3.0 유니버스’의 첫 번째 파트너사로 BNB 체인을 선정한 바 있다. 이번 파트너십을 통해 MBX 생태계 내 게임, 월렛, NFT(대체불가능토큰), DEX(탈중앙화거래) 등 콘텐츠 전반을 BNB 체인으로 확장하여 바이낸스 생태계 이용자들에게도 동일한 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.

마브렉스 정용 대표는 “BNB 체인과 메인넷 및 콘텐츠 확장에 관한 협업을 진행하게 돼 생태계를 더욱 빠른 속도로 발전시킬 수 있게 됐다”며, “향후 MBX 생태계의 접근성을 높이는 것을 넘어 보안과 안정성, 서비스 연계성 등도 꾸준히 고도화해 이용자 중심의 블록체인 생태계를 완성해나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편, 마브렉스는 향후 ‘MBX 3.0 유니버스’가 적용되는 첫 번째 프로젝트 <모두의마블2: 메타월드>를 온보딩할 예정이다. 이 게임은 전세계 2억 명이 즐긴 전략 보드게임 <모두의마블>의 후속작으로, 전작의 전략적인 보드 게임성을 계승함과 동시에 실제 지적도 기반 메타버스 공간인 ‘메타월드’를 구현한 것이 특징이다.

Netmarble (CEO Kwon Young-sik, Do Ki-wook), a subsidiary specializing in blockchain, today announced that it has established a strategic partnership with BNB Chain, a large user-based web3 blockchain infrastructure, to expand the MBX ecosystem.

At the MBX DAY held last month, Mavrex selected BNB Chain as the first partner of its multi-chain expansion strategy, "MBX 3.0 Universe". Through this partnership, the MBX ecosystem will expand its content, including games, wallets, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized exchanges (DEXs), to BNB Chain and provide the same services to users of the Binance ecosystem.

"Collaborating with BNB Chain on mainnet and content expansion will allow us to develop the ecosystem at a faster pace," said Chung Yong Jung, CEO of Mavrex. "In addition to increasing the accessibility of the MBX ecosystem, we will continue to improve security, stability, and service connectivity to complete a user-centric blockchain ecosystem."

In the meantime, Mavrex will be onboarding the first project to be powered by the MBX 3.0 Universe, Marvelous Marvels 2: Meta World. The game is a sequel to the strategy board game "Everyone's Marvel," which has been enjoyed by 200 million people worldwide, and is characterized by the implementation of "Metaworld," a real-world, intellectually based metaverse space, while retaining the strategic board gameplay of its predecessor.
